The Fit and Fabulous Health and Wellness Expo is the premier women’s health initiative in Dallas – Fort Worth and the surrounding area. In addition to an exhibit hall showcasing vendors from the health, wellness, beauty, and fitness industries, the event features seminars on timely subjects affecting the health of our community. This year we plan to have biometric screenings and flu vaccines will be available for attendees.

The Expo is held annually through a partnership between Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Tau Rho Omega Chapter and the Women of Pearls Community Action Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Tau Rho Omega Chapter was founded in January of 1993. Our service area includes the cities of Carrollton, Lewisville, Coppell, Flower Mound and Irving, Texas. Women of Pearls Community Action Foundation, founded in 2017, mission is to support programs and initiatives that enhance economic and educational week-being, and address health disparities and social inequality.

The event is in its third year, and it will be held October 29, 2022, at the Hilton Garden Inn Lewisville Convention Center. Join us a 9 AM for an energizing aerobic workout called "Walk This Way with AKA," or measure your wellness with a biometric screen. The exhibit hall will be open from 10 AM to 2 PM. Don't miss our educational workshops on health and wellness. During the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing, our service area virtually grew due to our savvy and successful use of virtual platforms and social media. This year we are looking forward to resuming in person service initiatives as COVID restrictions continue to relax!
